Position Description

Your Opportunity

As a full-time administrative assistant for TechSource you will support the Managing Director of the Albuquerque Program Management Office, which will include processing security clearances, completing expense reports, coordinating space, and assisting guests. Likewise, you will provide office management support and receptionist duties. Additionally, you will work closely with a specialized training team to register attendees, format materials and presentations, and assist the program coordinator. In this role you will perform a variety of duties. You will work full-time onsite in the Albuquerque office, located in the Uptown area.  

 

What You Will Do

  • Assist Managing Director with expense reports, security processing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support the Weapon Knowledge Preservation Transfer (WKPT) team with course registration, presentations, and training schedules.

Electrical Engineer — Los Alamos, NM

Position Description

Your Opportunity:

As a full-time electrical engineer for TechSource you will have to opportunity to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory's mission. Working within the Plutonium Facilities area TA-50, you will collaborate with a team of structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers, as well as junior engineers, SMEs and team leadership to find solutions and complete projects. This position is on-site in Los Alamos New Mexico. Relocation assistance is available.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate and consult with PFE team to find innovative solutions
  • Perform short circuit, device coordination, equipment sizing, exterior lighting, fault current, and arc flash for equipment
  • Complete full-system design solutions
  • Provide expertise in electrical engineering matters, including all aspects of electrical safety, power quality, power monitoring, and critical power reliability/redundancy issues
  • Utilize principles and procedures, design guides, appropriate standards, and administrative practices

What You Will Need:

  • BS in Engineering

Executive Administrative Assistant — Germantown, MD

Position Description

Your Opportunity

As a full-time executive administrative assistant you will work for TechSource to support a senior vice president and deputy director. You will write and edit proposal documents, create graphics for proposals, and assist with project coordination on various complex contracts. In this multifaceted role you will work closely with individuals at all levels of the organization.

 

You will work full-time in the Germantown, MD office while you’re training. A hybrid arrangement may be offered after your training concludes. (Only candidates living in the Germantown, MD or nearby area are being considered for this position.)

Metrology Engineer — Albuquerque, NM

Position Description

Your Opportunity:

As a full-time Metrology Engineer for TechSource, you will support Sandia National Laboratories’ (SNL) efforts in delivering a new National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) flash X-ray radiography capability at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the Advanced Sources and Detectors Project (ASD). This radiography capability is a multi-pulse linear induction accelerator, Scorpius, to be commissioned at the NNSS’s U1a Complex by 2024.  A national project team comprised of personnel from SNL, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), as well as other partners, will research, design, build, install, and commission Scorpius to fulfill the Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) subcritical experiment program mission needs.

 

You will be working with a large, multidisciplinary team to design, analyze, and build an alignment system to support Scorpius. You will also measure the entire system. Your work will have a signification impact on our nation’s safety and security. This is onsite work at Sandia National Laboratories, located in Albuquerque, NM.

 

What You will Do:

  • Design, analyze, prototype, build, and test a complex alignment system for Scorpius.
  • Measure the alignment system.
  • Use tracking hardware for the laser device.
  • Partner with multiple engineering disciplines to accomplish the work.

What You Will Need:

  • 7 or more years of metrology experience with the designing and building of complex research and development (R&D) systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent R&D work experience required.
  • Hands-on experience using various metrological devices (profilers, scanners, articulating arms, trackers, CMMs, etc.); direct experience with the Keyence Laser Profiler family preferred.
  • Practical understanding of GD&T with ability to create, read, apply, and measure to feature control frames, datum structures, and tolerances.
  • Practical understanding of the limitations and accuracies of different metrological devices and technologies and their applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up, acquire, and post-process measurement data that objectively shows conformity to requirement using related software packages.
  • Ability to strategize metrological methods, setups, and data acquisition.
  • Ability to work well with others by offering related metrological strategies and by being part of the design process to establish practical and relevant requirements in sometimes novel or challenging situations.
  • Accelerator, injector, or pulse power alignment experience preferred.
  • ASME B89 and ASME 14.5Y experience preferred.
  • Must be a US citizen for this position due to export control requirements.
  • Must be able to comply with client onsite health and safety requirements.
  • Occasional travel to NNSS (Las Vegas, NV) required, approximately 20% travel.

Work Control Planner — Los Alamos, NM

Position Description

As a full-time Work Control Planner for TechSource, you will work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in TA-3261, in support of TA-55 and their national security mission. You will work within a team of positive and motivated individuals to develop and review work packages. This position will be on-site in Los Alamos, NM.

  • Develop and review work packages.
  • Planning related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, or radiological equipment.
